For my reflection I have chosen my fiction story. To make my fiction story I had to first think of what stories I wish existed in the world. This thinking leads to inventing a character with traits, struggles, and actions. We needed to write about an issue that was important to us, and create a character who struggles with that issue. I had to know the characters motivations, what they want, and issues. Also we had to make a story map to outline the story. To start the story we needed to start with a character and setting. For my story my character’s name was lacey and the setting was here house and school! We needed to make sure the reader can picture it in their mind like a movie. I made it so the reader could clearly know what the character wanted, and what was standing in their way. Not to mention to make sure I write events with small moments after small moment so it leads to the climax. Then last but not least, resolve the story so there are no loose ends.
I had lots of fun writing in language arts! Working hard and becoming a good writer is what I did. To have such a great teacher to guide us on this path it is very important and I have come a long way in my writing thanks to Mrs. Bubalis. Hopefully I will become an even better writer.
